Ordering & Process
What photo should I submit?
Any clear, well-lit photo where your pet's face is fully visible works great. Front-facing with natural lighting gives the best result. Avoid blurry, dark, or heavily filtered photos. If you have several options, email them all to sales@bluehornproducts.com and we'll help you choose the best one.
How long does it take to receive my portrait?
You'll receive your digital preview within 48 hours of placing your order. Once you approve (or we complete any revisions), production takes 2β3 business days and US shipping is 3β5 business days. Digital downloads are delivered to your email immediately upon approval. Rush 24-hour preview processing is available at checkout.
What if I don't love the portrait?
We offer free unlimited revisions on every order. We don't stop until you're 100% in love with it. We never print or ship anything until you explicitly approve the digital preview. If you're still unhappy after revisions, we issue a full refund β no arguments, no hoops, no time limits.
Can I include multiple pets in one portrait?
Yes! We can include up to 3 pets in a single portrait. Select the 'Multiple Pets' option at checkout and upload a clear photo of each pet. There is a small additional fee per extra pet. Our artists will compose them together naturally in one beautiful piece.
Do you do cats, birds, rabbits, or other animals?
Absolutely. If it's a pet, we can portrait-ify it. We've done dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, birds, hamsters, and more. Our artists are experienced with all breeds, species, and coat types.
Products & Sizes
What sizes and formats are available?
We offer high-resolution digital downloads (printable at any size, minimum 300 DPI) and physical canvas prints in 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, and 24x36 inches. Framed canvas is available in 8x10 and 11x14. Our most popular wall size is 16x20. Not sure what to pick? Email us and we'll recommend based on your space.
What is the difference between a digital download and a canvas?
A digital download is a high-resolution PNG/PDF file emailed to you β print it yourself at any local print shop or service like Walgreens or Costco. A canvas is professionally printed on premium gallery-wrapped canvas and shipped ready to hang on your wall.
Can I see examples of each portrait style?
Yes β browse all styles on our Portraits page. Each listing shows example artwork so you know exactly what to expect before ordering. We also have customer photos in our reviews section.
Is this a good gift? Can I order for someone else?
It's one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give. Thousands of our customers order portraits as gifts for birthdays, holidays, Mother's Day, and memorials. Simply enter the recipient's shipping address at checkout. We can also include a gift note β just mention it in the order notes.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide to 40+ countries. US orders typically arrive 5β8 business days after approval. International orders take 10β15 business days. Tracking is provided on all physical orders. US shipping is always free β international rates are calculated at checkout.
How is my portrait packaged?
Canvas prints are wrapped in protective foam, placed in a custom rigid box, and shipped in a double-walled cardboard shipping box. They arrive completely protected and gift-ready β no additional wrapping needed.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Email a photo of the damage to sales@bluehornproducts.com within 48 hours of delivery, along with your order number. We will ship a replacement immediately at absolutely no cost to you.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
Yes β email us immediately at sales@bluehornproducts.com with your order number and new address. We can update it any time before the order ships. Once shipped, address changes are not possible.
Billing & Refunds
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Shopify β we never see or store your full card details.
Will I be charged before seeing my preview?
Yes β payment is processed at checkout. However, we do not print or produce anything until you approve your digital preview. If you request a refund before approving the preview, we honor it in full. No questions asked.
What is your refund policy?
If you're unsatisfied after revisions, contact us within 30 days of your order for a full refund. Physical products reported damaged within 48 hours of delivery will be reprinted and reshipped at no cost. For digital downloads already delivered upon approval, refunds are available only in cases of technical errors on our end.
